Developer dollars are not enough to save species
Jonathan’s recent publication on biodiversity offsets was featured in The Conservation. The research demonstrates that agency-led offsets, when strategically selecting sites, can enhance species outcomes for habitat-based offsets. However, it also highlights the risk of failing to meet habitat area requirements when suitable offset sites are scarce.

A national approach to the integration of koala spatial data to inform conservation planning
Jonathan has led a national approach to integrating koala spatial data, aiding the development of the draft national koala recovery plan and enhancing conservation planning by merging existing state, territory, and local government data. His efforts have also facilitated ongoing collaboration between jurisdictions in managing koala spatial information.
We developed the model for koala habitats in NSW, integrating climate data in the next 50 years.
